2050: How do we get there?

The exhibition entitled “2050: HOW DO WE GET THERE? Cleaner, faster, safer, sustainable mobility for everyone” looks at the challenges and choices related to the so-called ecological transition with a huge goal in mind: zero-emission mobility by the time we get to 2050.

Inauguration on Tuesday 21 December at 6.30 pm live on the MUSE Facebook page. The inauguration will be preceded by a roundtable with stakeholders on the topic of sustainable mobility from 4.00 pm.

From everyday mobility for work, visits to family and friends, tourism, through to the entire supply chain for retail and industrial production, mobility is the dimension that allows our social and economic life to happen. There is obviously a price to pay for these advantages however, and this includes the emission of greenhouse gases, noise and water pollution, but also accidents, traffic congestion, and lost biodiversity, all elements that have implications on our health and well-being.

The greenhouse gas emissions linked to the transport sector have increased over time and today account for a quarter of all the climate-changing emissions in the EU. Due to this high proportion, the European Strategy has set the objective of reducing these gases by 55% by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050. Efforts in this direction are already evident and deserve visibility, but the objective of climate neutrality will only be achieved if policies to reduce our dependence on fossil-fuel transport are put in place without delay.

“2050: HOW DO WE GET THERE?” will therefore be a real journey into the new challenges and strategies relating to the issue of sustainable mobility, with focus on the European, interregional and more local context.  ACCESSING THE SCIENCE MUSEUMIn compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 172 of 26/11/2021, from 6 DECEMBER 2021 to 15 JANUARY 2022 those wanting to access the Trento Science Museum, its sites and museum services must show a “Green Pass BASE” (basic Digital Covid Certificate issued to those who have a valid negative PCR or antigen test, or are fully vaccinated or healed from Covid), when the alert level is WHITE and YELLOW, whereas ORANGE alert level will require an obligatory “Green Pass RAFFORZATO” (“Reinforced” Digital Covid Certificate only for those who are fully vaccinated or healed from Covid). No form of “Green Pass” (Digital Covid Certificate) is required for children under the age of 12 or those with an official certificate of exemption compliant with the criteria detailed in the Ministry of Health Circular Memo of 4 August 2021.
