Wikipedia - Knowledge sharing

“Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge” so writes Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia.

Wikipedia is an online, open access, collaborative, multilingual and free encyclopedia, established in 2001, supported and hosted by Wikimedia Foundation, an American non profit organisation. Together with Niccolò Caranti we will find out who writes the articles, how I can edit a page and what copyright is. The conference will be the occasion to present projects such as “Archeowiki” and “Adopt an article”, which bring Wikipedia in the classroom in order to make it known to students and teachers at all levels.
