Don't call me wild!

A multidisciplinary exhibition project, but also an intense cultural experience focused on the concept of wild in its complex of meanings between history, nature, art, culture and gastronomy.

The project is divided into several sections.
The section “The Face of the Wild Man,” curated by Silvia Spada Pintarelli, addresses the theme in medieval and early modern iconography, focusing, in particular, on the representations found in the Alpine arc and in the Trentino-Tyrol area.

“Naturally Wild?”, curated by Danilo Gasparini with the collaboration of Silvano Rodato, investigates the relationship between man and nature, understood as a source of care and sustenance. On display, for the first time, are some sheets from a precious Tyrolean herbarium, dated between the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

In the section “Contemporary Wild,” curated by Camilla Nacci Zanetti, eleven artists reinterpret, with different results, the theme of living in symbiosis with nature through the language of contemporary art, by integrating with the Museum's collections.

The exhibition is enriched by the installation “Immersed in Nature,” a reconstruction of a typical alpine woodland environment, curated by the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme and Elio Vanzo, placed inside the cloister of the Museum: plants, scents and sounds introduce the visitor to the enjoyment of the entire exhibition.

Throughout the exhibition period, from 15 November 2024 to 31 May 2025, there is a full schedule of events to experience and participate in: lectures, workshops, performances, culinary experiences, and activities with wild herbs.
