Michele Bolla and Maria Tea Lusso, four hands piano
Music by Bach-Kurtag, Schubert, Brahms, Dvorak, Ligeti
The Piano Duo composed of Maria Tea Lusso and Michele Bolla was born in 2001 on the occasion of a series of recitals in Sydney, which were received with considerable public and critical acclaim and broadcast by two Australian radio stations. Since then the duo has performed, both 4 hands and 2 pianos, in prestigious halls and on important occasions in Italy and abroad.
Maria Tea Lusso is a pianist and fortepianist and professor of piano at the “P.da Palestrina” Conservatory in Cagliari. Michele Bolla is a pianist, fortepianist and piano teacher at the “Pollini” Conservatory of Padua. Together, they will perform a program ranging from Bach to Ligeti: the chorale “O lamm Gottes” reworked by Kurtag, Schubert's very famous and inspired Fantasia, Ligeti's Sonatina, and ending with Dvorak's popular Slavonic and Brahms' Hungarian dances.
