First world War 1914-18
With Mario Perrotta and Paola Roscioli, live original music by Mario Arcari and Enrico Mantovani - Teatro & musica

"When a war is declared, the first victim is Truth"
This is a little piece of truth, which was hanging on a thread in oblivion so much that it was almost gone: Mario Perrotta has staged it to investigate the story of many people from Trentino and Friuli Venezia Giulia who fought the first Great War as Austrian soldiers speaking Italian.
As a matter of fact, no one has ever told that as soon as Italy entered the war, the Austrians deported at once their own Italian compatriots: 130,000 women, elderly people and children, stored in the first concentration camps of our contemporary history, left to die.
With the artist's delicacy and the historian’s commitment, Perrotta turns numbers into faces, lives, and voices.
