Glaciers and Mountain Peoples: spirituality and resistance for environmental justice

Meeting between anthropology, activism and spirituality.
Elisabetta Dall'Ă’, professor of anthropology at the University of Turin, will talk (online) with journalist Francesca Caprini and a representative of Colombia's indigenous U'Wa people.
During the evening they will discuss mountains as sacred and contested space, struggles for environmental justice between the Alps and the Andes, and worldviews that teach us to live with nature rather than dominate it. Moderator: Monica Ronchini - MUSE anthropologist.
A photo exhibition on the U'Wa people will be set up for the occasion, curated by the Yaku Association, which is committed to defending water as a common good.
