Guided visit in Trento – The illusionistic painting between the late Baroque and Rococo periods

Cultural exhibitions and events , Guided tour

The event is part of a series of guided visits in the city which aim to investigate the relationship between the Diocesan Museum's collections and the surrounding area.

In particular, on this occasion we will investigate illusionistic decoration, both perspective and aerial; we will examine the perspectives of Andrea Pozzo exhibited in the museum, and then move on to the Church of San Giuseppe to admire the frescoes of Antonio De Romedis, which are not usually visible to the public. The itinerary will end at the Cathedral of San Vigilio to discover the frescoes by Giuseppe Antonio Càccioli, recently brought to light by the restoration.

The guided tour lasts about 90 minutes and is included in the museum admission ticket.

Limited number of participants (max 20 persons).
Booking required by email: prenotazioni@mdtn.it or by phone no. 0461 234419.
