Masi Saracini (Cortesano): guided visits
Guided visits by Chiara Radice (art historian)
Nestling in the green of the woods between the suburbs of Cortesano and Gardolo di Mezzo, the buildings that compose the ancient Alpine farmstead still retain traces of a noble past, which goes back to the Roman era; evidence of it is still to be found in the loose soil surrounding the farm.
The date 1557, engraved on the keystone of the nearby building (which was remodeled in recent times), seems to support the hypothesis according to which the farmstead was built during the Rinascimento.
Nearby you can also visit the eighteenth-century church dedicated to the Saints Leonardo and Antonio.
