One of the most acclaimed violinists in the world in a compelling recital with an equally celebrated pianist: for the first time in Trento an outstanding duo, full of temperament, will give a performance of the highest level.

Nikolaj Znaider, Danish violinist of Israeli-Polish origin, is not only one of the most renowned soloists today, but he's also one of the most versatile artists: soloist, chamber musician and orchestra leader. He studied at the Vienna Conservatory, and he is regularly invited by the most prestigious orchestras, performing under the direction of leaders such as Barenboim, Gergiev, Maazel, Mehta, Thielemann.

Znaider has also taken up conducting - in October 2010 he began his tenure as conductor of the Mariinsky Thearte Orchestra - and has also recorded chamber music with such musicians as Daniel Barenboim.

Znaider is passionate about the education of musical talent and is Founder and Artistic Director of the Nordic Music Academy, an annual summer school whose vision is to create conscious and focused musical development based on quality and commitment.

He plays the Guarnieri “del Gesu” violin built in 1741, on loan from the The Royal Danish Theater.

Piotr Anderszewski was born in Warsaw, Poland. He has recently played with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the symphony orchestras of Boston, Chicago, London and the Royal Concertgebouw. In 2002 he won the Gilmore Award, which every four years is given to pianists of exceptional talent. He has gained an impressive series of awards: the Diapason d'or, Le Choc du Monde de la Musique, the Classic FM Gramophone Award, the Szymanowski Award and the Gilmore Award; in his forties now, he is already part of the Olympus of the great international artists.
