A production by Rifiuti Speciali with the contribution of the Caritro Foundation and the Department of equal opportunities of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

The Compagnia Rifiuti speciali of Federica Chiusole and Manuela Fischietti will stage a theatrical reading entitled "Le signore delle cime" ("The ladies of the heights") immersed in sound suggestions with a repertoire dedicated to the mountain music tradition performed in the July performances by accordionist Mattia Paoli and for the 2 and 3 September performances by the S. Ilario Choir of Rovereto.

A story that aims to pay tribute to the history of women protagonists of great adventures, and to "open a way" to the dissemination of the contribution they have all made to national and world mountaineering.

Six women have been chosen to represent a much larger number of female mountaineers who, from the end of the 19th century to the present day, have contributed to affirming the presence of women in a sport which has been considered by men and for men for a long time.

Background to the tale of these incredible feats is the music chosen and performed live by the splendid voices of the Coro di Sant’Ilario (St. Hilary Choir)

The reading is inspired by Chiara Todesco's book "The Ladies of the heights", that was presented at the 67th edition of the Trento Film Festival.
