UTOPIA500. Pale Blue Dot

An incredible story of hope, astonishment, beauty and despair. The destiny of the spacecraft Voyager 1 gets mixed up with its creator's suicidal tendencies, with the destiny of his dreamer son and with the destiny of Planet Earth. While the spacecraft moves away from the solar system, it is suddenly clear that our Pale Blue Dot, the Earth, is the most precious spaceship and has to be saved without hesitations and compromises. We, the intelligent human beings who for hundreds of thousands years were nomad hunters and harvesters and only recently have become farmer and breeder, have deeply changed our Planet. Nowadays, we face a global environmental disaster of which we are the cause. Yet, it seems that we are deprived of the mental tools to understand the danger in which we all find ourselves. Why can't we change the situation? Are we not “engineered” to do that? Maybe is that we are not so intelligent? We have created amazing things, we have sent spacecrafts towards other solar systems, yet, we are not able to manage the most destructive problem that our species have ever faced.

But when everything seems to be lost, the most incredible revolution occurs. It's deep and shared by everyone in every corner of the world. The fatalistic sensation of inevitability disappears and the social structure changes forever for the better. All the problems are solved... Yet, has it really happened? Can it really happen? Or maybe it is only utopia, a story of hope that has to be told and then sent to Voyager 1, so that he could keep final remains of our civilisation, which could probably be at the end of its journey...
