Meetings and conferences

Why are authoresses not mentioned in Music History textbooks? Why do musicians not perform works by women composers during concert seasons? Does woman probably lack in creativity and harmonic competence? Reality is very different.

The conference opening the festival will answer to these questions and throw light on female creativity in the meeting with Patricia Adkins Chiti, musicologist and mezzo-soprano, who has been rewriting the history of women in music since 1978 and is still working to assure female composers a present and a future.

Stella Antonucci, RAI’s journalist, will chare the debate.
