Our duty to remember. Reflecting on the Shoah

Moni Ovadia in Trento talks with students

Other

Moni Ovadia meets the students of high school of Trentino: remembering the Holocaust is a duty we owe to the past and at the same time it's a project for the future, because the next generations mustn't forget.

Recounting the Holocaust means to pass on to younger generations the knowledge of those cruelties that man has committed, because we know that history can repeat itself, maybe not identical, but with equally devastating results.

Moni Ovadia, actor, playwright, writer and musician, descending from a Sephardic Jewish family, is known for his transgressive, ironic and sometimes cynical manner, with which he also interprets the Yiddish culture. He's also known for his ongoing commitment to support political and civil rights and peace and is a reference point for the younger generation.
