All the world’s a stage - Neue Gestaltung

“All the world’s a stage” is the result of a collaboration between the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara and the Department of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano.

The aim of the collaboration is to start a research project on the visual identity and communication of the theatre, and of a cultural institution in general.

A team of designers, graphic designers and art historians, made up of students, professionals and lecturers, will attempt to understand what it means today to design a visual identity for a theatre, what tools, languages and approaches are used for these projects, and in general what impact a visual identity project has on the image and activity of a theatre or cultural body involved in the production and promotion of live performances.

This research includes a series of meetings, talks and workshops involving international professionals and designers who have worked with some of the most important European theatres.
