Culture that fosters economy: the MAC Fest in Cava de' Tirreni, from a young people's idea to growth for the territory

Since 2019, the Macass association has been implementing activities and projects that foster the socio-economic development of the territory, rethinking and involving the local community, its stakeholders and businesses.

It was born and grew up in Cava de' Tirreni (Salerno), close to the Amalfi Coast. A context in which it feels it can make a contribution to promoting culture as an engine of social innovation.

Its members have an average age of 25: students, young professionals and local artists who carry out cultural, artistic and musical activities.

Since 2019, the association has been organising the MAC Fest di Cava de' Tirreni , the Festival of Music, Art and Culture of Cava de' Tirreni, now in its 4th year.

A festival that has become a landmark for the area, with a strong impact on the local economy. Its formulation, born from the idea of a group of young people, allows it to be adapted and replicated in different contexts.

The event is part of the programme of events proposed during the Trento Festival of Economics by the European Commission's Representation in Italy and the European Parliament's Liaison Office in Italy. The calendar is available HERE .
