“Cultured” spaces. Gardens in the history of the Western World

In the Levico Spa Park, the exhibition Spazi cólti: i giardini nella storia d’Occidente (“Cultured” spaces. Gardens in the history of the Western World) narrates the evolution of the different garden styles in the European context, by following different historical periods: from antiquity to the Middle Ages, from Humanism to the nineteenth century and up to the present day.

The exhibition aims to highlight, through a selection of images, films, documents and objects, the peculiarities of gardens, a mature synthesis of different knowledge and artistic forms, in order to raise awareness of a cultural-historical as well as environmental heritage to be safeguarded and protected.
