Depero on air

On 23 November 1933 Depero recounted his "Impressions on America" in a radio programme entitled Depero on air.

The memories of that journey, made between 1928 and 1930, were also the basis of the "Primo Libro Parolibero Sonoro" ("First Sound Parolibero Book"), in which Depero collected lyrics, chronicles, parolibero tables.

The performance by Gaetano Cappa (director) and Massimiliano Speziani (voice) is based on these historical documents; it evokes the artist's journey to New York, the crossing of the ocean, Depero's astonishment for the metropolis, the subway and, finally, the Italian Americans' parties in the skyscrapers.
