Double bass ...più piano

YOUNG TALENTS CYCLE:

Music by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Bottesini, Dittersdorf

The Young Talents project presents two musicians from Trentino, Lorenzo Calovi on piano and Emilio Colpi on double bass.
Lorenzo Calovi graduated in solo piano and as a collaborating teacher at the Conservatory of Trento and has won prizes in important piano competitions (Città di Piove di Sacco, Maria Labia, Città di Minerbio, Rome, Città di Albenga, Andrea Baldi).

Emilio Maria Colpi made his debut as a soloist at the age of nine with the Youth Orchestra 'Fuoritempo' and the following year played with the Orchestra of the German Institute of South Tyrol. Two years in a row he won first prize at the 'Concorso
Concorso internazionale Giovani Musicisti" in the city of Treviso and at the "Concorso internazionale Antonio Salieri" in Legnago (2017 and 2019).

The first part of the programme will be dedicated to Lorenzo Calovi's solo piano, with music by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy.

The second part will feature the double bass of Emilio Colpi, with two romantic pieces by Giovanni Bottesini and the
concerto by Von Dittersdorf, in a more classical style, again in duo with piano.
