Everything I wanted

History of a sentence

Drama

Mise en éspace based on the theatrical show by Teatro dell’Elfo Puccini

Public Prosecutor: "What did you need the money you made for?" The girl: "Taxi, clothes, shopping, in short everything I wanted (...) That was my goal, in the end there was no goal..."

A few years ago, the story of two young girls aged 14 and 15 caused a sensation, since they attended one of the best high schools in Rome, but after school they prostituted themselves in a flat in Viale Parioli. Their clients were all established and well-off professionals, of medium-high cultural level, unsuspected fathers.

The story begins when the youngest of the two girls meets Judge Paola Di Nicola, called to express her view on one of the girl's clients, a 35-year-old professional of Rome.

As to the compensation for damages, the judge establishes that no sum of money would give back to the girl what she was deprived of.

The show, from which that scenic reading is taken, is dedicated to the judge Paola Di Nicola and her courageous and surprising sentence.
