Extended Singularity

Pianist Stefano Onorati, born in 1966, and trumpeter Fulvio Sigurtà, born in 1975, who have been leading exponents of the "made in Italy" jazz for more than a few years, certainly need no introduction.

Among their many projects is the one that since 2018 has seen them side by side in the duo Singularity, which is the space-time point where the energies of the two musicians swirl into shape starting from reinterpretations of the less popular jazz repertoire of musicians such as Kenny Wheeler or John Taylor, arriving at total electronic improvisation.

Originating as an acoustic extension of this well-established duo, the newer quartet Extended Singularity explores an equally vast musical territory, up to and including the most radical improvisation and succeeds in combining innovative research and knowledge of tradition, introspective reflection and contagious groove.
