FAI Autumn days 2018
Santa Giustina Dam: guided visits, an exhibition and hikes in the water gap
On the occasion of the FAI Autumn days 2018 (FAI, Fondo Ambiente Italiano is the National Trust of Italy), visitors are invited to join guided tours of the Santa Giustina Dam, of the exhibition on the history of Santa Giustina and of the machine and control room of the Taio-Santa Giustina hydroelectric plant, located in a cavern where three generator groups are installed with as many 35 MW Francis hydraulic turbines.

Saturday 13 October - at 14.00
Hikes: FAI volunteers organise guided hikes around the Santa Giustina Dam and up to the hermitage; the title of the event is “In search of the Santa Giustina Dam: epic of a dam thrown into a valley - Guided hike to the gorge, places and views, which distinguished it yesterday and today".
The hike is of no particular difficulty (3 km for about 3 hours of walking), but requires suitable equipment. Booking required by Email: trento@delegazionefai.fondoambiente.it or by phone: 324.6023710.
Saturday 13 October - at 9.30 and 18.00
Guided visit: the dam and the exhibition can be visited freely, while booking is required to visit the hydroelectric plant, since the control room can be reached only by shuttle bus leaving from the courtyard near the dam. Booking required by Email: trento@delegazionefai.fondoambiente.it or by phone: 324.6023710 (agree the time of your visit).

Guided visits and hikes can be booked from Monday 8 to Friday 12 October, 9.00 - 12.00 and 15.00 - 18.00.
Visits on 13 October are reserved for FAI members
Guided visits are open to everybody, and will take place in groups.
