Fairy tales at the Fort

Meetings and conferences , Reading , Drama

Can one talk to children about war, in a place that has been the scene of war? Of course one can, just with the right words: with the words of stories, stories that tell of misunderstandings or that speak of fights and quarrels, with the words of great writers such as Gianni Rodari and Leo Lionni, or in rhyme, as Gek Tessaro did, telling of a soldier who did not want to go to battle. Thanks to the narrative voice of Massimo Lazzeri, one can even make fun of war, listening to that snail who, together with an entire army of snails, prepares to go to the battlefield but, by the time it gets there, it is time to go to sleep.
