“Feste Vigiliane” denominates the festival in which Trento celebrates its patron saint S. Vigilius.
Driven by the desire to restart, the municipal administration and the Centro Servizi Culturali S. Chiara, have wanted to organize again this year this festival, whose theme will be "The reason of the heart".
Most of the beautiful things in the world have come from those who have not surrendered to fate, but have fed hope. This is also what history also teaches us.
Strengthened by this conviction, this edition has been organized so that it can become a precious opportunity for everyone to have healthy fun, but also for sharing.
Among the most awaited events don't miss:
the Opening ceremony of the Feste Vigiliane in the church square;
the "Tribunale di Penitenza", penance trial, an entertaining theatrical performance by the famous comedian Mario Cagol: the judge, Mario Cagol, condemns the culprits, who will be sentenced to the “Dunking”, a bath in the river Adige;
the "Tonca" - The culprit, who was condemned by the “Tribunale di Penitenza”, is confined in a cage and dipped in the icy waters of the Adige in order to clean his sins. Ths is a historical reconstruction of a corporal punishment that was inflicted on blasphmers in Trento between the 14th and the 17th century;
the Sacred Celebrations of the Patron Saint.

To avoid gatherings and to comply with health regulations, almost the entire eventwill take place in the rooms of the Buonconsiglio Castle.
In order to guarantee the maximum diffusion of the programme, the organisers have involved in this 37th edition the local television networks Rttr, Trentino Tv and Rai Regione, as well as the main radio stations of the region, so that everybody can enjoy it on TV and on the web
