Festival of Meteorology 2019
5th year: meteorology in Italy: yesterday, today, tomorrow
Three days of conferences, didactic activities, exhibitions, laboratories, contests but also fun, discussing about this science that is becoming more and more important in our lives.
In November the city of Rovereto hosts the fifth edition of the festival with the aim to know what meteorology really is, to explore its scientific basis and the economic, cultural and social implications.
The event, named “Meteorology in Italy: yesterday, today, tomorrow” wants to examine the current meteorological situation in Italy, trying to understand the future perspectives. More specifically, the festival is an opportunity for discussing the role of meteorology to face climate change.
Among the different activities, you will have the chance to participate to meetings and conferences, debates, laboratories, shows, concerts and to visit the MeteoExpo, an area to meet all meteorology protagonists.

This year the festival includes also a climate Hackathon, organised by Copernicus and ECMWF in collaboration with AISAM on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November.
“Hack for the future: (climate) data for change” is a 24-hour event to develop disruptive ideas and projects in agriculture, water management, tourism or inter-sectoral.
The educational activities for schools are available on the website of the Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto
