Music

Trento Musicantica ends with the Galileo Project - “L’ordine dell’occhio”, an interdisciplinary show of ancient music, electronics, narration and videoart which takes inspiration from Galileo Galilei.

The aim of the show, managed by the Centro Servizi Culturali S. Chiara in collaboration with the MUSE and the Conservatorio Bonporti, is to give a new perspective of the man Galileo, who was not only a brilliant scientist and father of the modern European thought, but also a very skilled musician. He was son of Vincenzo Galilei, famous theorist, treatist and composer. Together with the members of the Camerata Fiorentina, he contributed to the birth of the new monodic style and the development of musical acoustics.
