Garda with taste
Three days and one big protagonist: carne salada.
Three whole days completely dedicated to the taste of carne salada, dish that stays at the cutting edge of the local gastronomy and which also is the very first typical main course awarded with the De.Co. brand.
A trip into taste through recipes and genuine ingredients like extra virgin olive oil, wine, sauces, vegetables and the best products among the excellences of Trentino and Alto Garda, spiced up with workshops, showcooking, dinner shows and special guests.
The first appointment is on Friday 23rd, when the village, the exhibition and the cottages open and the tastings begin. During the day various activities will be presented, like a workshop completely dedicated to beans and to the modalities to preserve carne salada. In the end, with the collaboration of the Civic Library, an interesting chat about curious facts and typical dishes will be held.
Saturday activities will start since the morning, and the tastings, the workshop with dishes accompanied with Trentino wines and the meeting with the qualified nutritionist will bring you to the main event of the day, that is the dinner show with the chef Cristian Bertol, in collaboration with Centro di Formazione Professionale ENAIP of Riva del Garda.
On Sunday 25th the day will be filled with delicious tastings and with many interesting workshops like Salsada, on how to use sauces, salsas and unconventional condiments with carne salada, and Discosoup, on the preparation of a vegetable soup where adults and children will cooperate, curated by Slow Food.
Again the Dinner Show will be the cherry on top: the guest chef Simone Rugiati will present new ideas to value carne salada and will supervise the culinary proposal of the students of Centro di Formazione Professionale.
