Nadezhda Simeonova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a young girl, she received her artistic training at art school and devoted herself to the art of stage design. She continued her education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia specialising in set design.

She has had experiences in theatre and film, working as a set designer, make-up artist and sculptor. Since 2002, she has been living in Trento where she works with various theatre groups, making props, wigs and masks of different materials and genres. Her interest in figure theatre led her to create many puppets.

Her passion for experimenting and improvising with various materials makes her very elastic and agile in the search for new languages of form and material. In her future projects, she focuses on developing an environment that is increasingly open to art experienced in a continuous process.

She leads many workshops with people of all ages, managing to create situations rich in fantasy and imagination that allow participants to develop their manual skills with serenity and passion.
