I hope for the best

On stage Silvia Furlan: in a fun and surreal monologue, she deals in a "celestial" way with the theme of life for women and men. The main character is an unborn child who, while deciding how to be born - man or woman - has been contacted from a group of rebels in order to carry out an important mission: saving mankind from the fall in the abyss of misery deriving from the inequalities and discrimination that have arisen over millennia.

In a light, yet profound way, the comedy hints at recent events and at possible utopias and reflects on the absolute need for a change in order to take the road to happiness; it’s a road that starts from respecting our neighbours, in our family, in our public and professional life.

Little by little, this unborn child acquires awareness of the discriminations suffered and the opportunities denied; she’ll understand the useless suffering caused by the cage of stereotypes, she’ll see all the possibilities we can have if only we open our eyes and pursue happiness for everybody.
