Italy: racial laws eighty years ago

Theatrical reading about antisemitism in Italy and racial laws

Meetings and conferences , Reading

Organised by Club Armonia Club and by A.N.M.

This is the title of a well-structured reflection by the Club Armonia Club and the regional section of the National Association of Magistrates, which has already been presented in many schools and communities in the area and has met with a positive response everywhere.

The reflection, which mixes chronicle, literature, history and single episodes, revolves around the cultural, social and political modalities that determined the racial turn of the fascist regime after the proclamation of the empire. From that moment on, the anti-Semitic persecution in our country began: from the first racial laws issued in 1938, to the deportation and extermination of over eight thousand Italian Jews in the Nazi concentration camps after the surrender of 8 September 1943.
