The pianist Maurizio Baglini is one of the most respected musicians on the international scene and his career has taken him to major music venues, such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Kennedy Center in Washington. He is now recording exclusively for Decca/Universal and his most recent CDs include music by Liszt, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Domenico Scarlatti, Mussorgsky and, in duo with the cellist Silvia Chiesa, Rachmaninov. He is the founder and artistic director of the Amiata Piano Festival, and artistic director for dance and music at Teatro “Verdi” in Pordenone. He holds masterclasses at Fondi (LT) and for Stauffer Academy in Cremona.
