Filippo Gorini, piano.
Praised for his “rare intellect, temperament, and vivid imagination”, in 2015 the twenty-year- old Filippo Gorini received both the first and audience prizes at the “Telekom-Beethoven” Competition in Bonn. He also studies with Maria Grazia Bellocchio, and Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. His concert appearances have drawn unanimous acclaim, on many prestigious stages. In Italy, in 2017, he’s invited to perform for Società del Quartetto in Milan, International Piano Festival in Brescia and Bergamo, Accademia Filarmonica in Rome.
Min Chung was born in 1984 in Saarbrücken, Germany and moved to France at a young age. He started his musical studies with the double bass and piano, and is an alumnus of Seoul National University where he majored in german literature and violin. Min Chung made his conducting debut in 2007 with the Boystown Symphony Youth Orchestra. The orchestra, based in Busan, Korea was founded in 1979 by the Sisters of Mary and is mainly composed of children of disadvantaged background and orphans. His collaboration with the orchestra culminated in unprecedented performances at Carnegie hall in 2010, and Suntory Hall in 2012.
The Haydn Orchestra, recognized as a concert institution by the Italian Ministry of Culture/Tourism, was founded in 1960 by the provincial government and local authorities of Trento and Bolzano. From 2013 Daniele Spini is responsible for the artistic design, from 2014 Arvo Volmer is the principal conductor, and from 2015 Matthias Lošek is artistic director of the opera.
