L' Arcadia Amorosa

Marta Redaelli and Federico Fiorio sopranos, Niccolò Porcedda baritone and Alberto Maron on harpsichord will propose L’Arcadia Amorosa, with compositions by Stefano Landi, Claudio Monteverdi, Orazio Tarditi, Pietro Antonio Giramo, Barbara Strozzi, Luca Marenzio, Giovanni Felice Sances, Luigi Rossi.

The programme begins in the kingdom of Arcadia, a place where the harmonious singing of nature is a reflection of the heavenly harmony of which Orpheus is the most famous symbol; under the aegis of the singing demigod, the love affairs of nymphs and shepherds take place, under the sign of play and naturalness, in an almost fairy-tale setting in which conflicting passions always find a way to reconcile.
