"This is what remains of my house". This is how the documentary film La botta grossa (The big blow) starts, with film director Sandro Baldoni, who was shocked in front of the ruins of his home in Campi, near Norcia, hit by the earthquake on 30 October 2016. That earthquake did not cause death, but turned a ot of people of Umbria and Marche into homeless persons.
For several months they have found shelter and where to sleep together in a warehouse at the seaside, arranged by the of local tourist office. They have been trying to defend their own dignity, yet their feelings are a combination of fear, anger, loos of identity.
Yet, at the same time, some other positive effects have emerged from the bad event: a sense of solidarity and of belonging to a community.
