Exhibition of Bernardo Carvalho’s works

For the first time in Italy, a significant body of work by the Portuguese illustrator Bernardo Carvalho is on display in the magnificent spaces of the Muse. The creator of the image for the 63rd Trento Film Festival was the winner of the Bologna Ragazzi Award for a first work with the book Lá Fora, giving rise to the title of the exhibition. Carvalho’s figures focus on emotions and attention for nature, animals, exploration, the landscape, movement, the sea, the sky and rock. Lá Fora na natureza is a journey exploring nature, the joy of living in the open-air and the possibility of recounting the mountain landscape using artistic illustrations. 

The exhibition is enriched with a preview of never previously shown illustrations, the result of “Rock”, a communication project dedicated to the Dolomites, carried out by Carvalho in 2014 with the geologists of the Muse and the Geological Museum in Predazzo.
