Massimo Serra on drums and Max Tempia on Hammond organ, make up the MaxDuo, which was formed in 1990, at the height of the 'electric era' of sequencing and drum machines. In 2007, the famous jazz label Splasc(h) Records released the album 'Alter Ego 2.1', simply a 'DUO' Hammond and Drums.

The album contains jazz standards and original tracks that enhance the duo's characteristics described as 'explosive' by leading jazz magazines.

The historic Duo is enhanced by the presence of one of the world's most appreciated trumpet players, Andrea Tofanelli.

With Tofanelli, the trio is certainly of the highest technical/artistic level and the repertoire ranges from jazz to famous opera arias revisited in a modern key.

The trio has performed at many international festivals and has become a reference point for their unusual sounds.
