When my father died, I woke up suddenly, the way you wake up after a party where you weren't having any fun and you even drank the perfume in the bathroom. It's morning, you wake up and you feel bad, but the worst thing is that you don't remember anything, there's a mess to clean up. And your dad, who was good at tidying up, is no longer there. And that was the end of my fabulous 90s. The end of a party, the birth of a new awareness.

Like Telemachus, but older and overweight, I set out in search of my father and his story of being a partisan, and a prisoner, but more so of his Odyssey of return to a war-torn Italy. Hoping to find a lesson in how to put things right.
