Open Palazzos 2022 - Church of San Giovanni Nepomuceno

Cultural exhibitions and events , Guided tour

The Church of San Giovanni Nepomuceno stands in the centre of the village of Lavis. It was built around 1755 and in 1782 it was dedicated to the Saint who, in the Central European tradition, was considered to be the protector against river flooding.

The external façade is in Baroque style with a large central archivolted window and a bell tower. The building work, left unfinished by mason Giovanni Felin from Revò, was completed by Domenico de Costa from Badia.
