Peacefighting in American Literature
With Giorgio Mariani

Giorgio Mariani, Professor of American Literature at the university La Sapienza of Rome, author of studies on several writers, among which H. Melville, S, Crane, S. Alexie and Waging War on War (2015), will discuss the topic of nonviolence.
Starting from the books by American authors who wrote about the two Gulf wars, especially M. H. Kingston, B. Turner, H. Benedict, Mariani will illustrate the narration of wars, peace, and the definition of nonviolence in American Literature.
