Reopening of the Avio Castle
The FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano - the National Trust of Italy) reopens to the public most part of its historical, artistic and landscape heritage from 22 May. Tours, guided or not, are to be booked in advance, in order to grant everybody's safety.
From Wednesday to Sunday, from 10.00 to 18.00, tours (guided and not guided) to the majestic Avio Castle can be booked, to experience and enjoy an authentic cross-section of chivalrous life of the time as opposed to the triumph of courteous love.
To discover characteristics, secrets and interesting facts about the Avio Castle and its area, a precious opportunity will be offered: by presenting their ticket purchase receipt, visitors will receive by mail information to access to a website dedicated to in-depth contents for an ideal tour of the castle.
They will be able to consult from home, or during the visit and along the route (also via QR code at the ticket office), many different introductory, explanatory and in-depth materials: from the descriptions of places and objects, to real guided tours with exceptional guides, to be listened to in podcasts (take your earphones with you!); from short video stories to suggestions for itineraries on foot or by bike in the surroundings of the castle, to extend the visit and why not to organize an entire day in the open air.

HOW TO VISIT IN SAFETY
In all cultural venues, the visit will be limited by the number of visitors and, where possible, organized in a "one-way" tour to avoid possible crossings.
The FAI kindly asks visitors to follow instructions to grant everybody's safety: wear a protective mask during the tour and use dispensers with sanitizing gel along the itinerary.
On the day before the visit, participants will receive an email with all information about accessing the venue, and a link to download materials, since paper leaflets won't be available any longer.
Otherwise, such materials will be accessible on digital media thanks to a QR Code that can be downloaded directly at the ticket office.
Access to the ticket office, bookshop and service areas will be allowed to one visitor or family member at a time.
In FAI stores, customers must wear gloves in addition to the mask. We invite
also to make purchases with credit cards and ATMs.
All workstations and common areas will be subject to constant sanitization and air exchange.
Opening times: from 22 May 2020, from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 to 18.
The guided tour to the castle lasts 1 hour.
