Simone Cristicchi - "We'll ask the trees"

Italian singer-songwriter Simone Cristicchi will tell his story to the audience and sing, by tracing the stages of his constant artistic evolution in a surprising and exciting journey.

For the occasion, he will be accompanied by the Brass band of Albiano, conducted by Giovanni Bruni in an original reinterpretation of Cristicchi's repertoire, starting with the song that gives this unique concert its title.

"We will ask the trees: a song dedicated to the great book of Nature, whose pages seem indecipherable, but which to a careful and curious eye, reveal daily teachings of eternal wisdom. The tree stands firm, planted in the Earth, its roots in the darkness, weathering the storms, the passing of the different seasons of life.

The lark teaches humility, that of a little bird that sings from the first light of dawn with a heart full of joy, though feeding on a few crumbs. Perhaps one should live this way, to feel "part of a greater design than reality."
