Special guided visit to the De Gasperi House Museum

Cultural exhibitions and events , Guided tour
[ Fondazione Trentina Alcide De Gasperi]

On the occasion of the National Days of the Association of Houses of Memory, scheduled for 6 and 7 April, the Casa De Gasperi Museum in Pieve Tesino is offering its visitors a special free guided tour included in the ticket price, on the afternoon of Sunday 7 April at 16.00.

An opportunity to enter the rooms in which Alcide De Gasperi spent the first few years of his life, in that small Trentino village on the outskirts of the multicultural Austro-Hungarian Empire. A unique life started there, which led De Gasperi to work in three different parliaments, to live through world wars and suffer fascist persecution and - together with many other men and women -to lay the foundations of the Italian and European democracy.

Retracing his steps means diving into the major events that have shaped the world today, while discovering the statesman's human, political and spiritual message.

The National Days are an initiative of the Association of Houses of Memory, which brings together the houses (today houses-museum) where illustrious people lived in every field of knowledge, art, literature, science, history and aims to make known and enhance these significant historic homes.
