Specialities of Trentino. Cereals, legumes and fruit on the ancient banks of the Adige river
With Mauro Rottoli, archaeobotanist of the Civic Museums of Como and university Professor

The conference sheds some light on the food that represented the daily consumption of the ancient people who lived in our territory during the Roman age. The archaeobotanical analysis, carried out during the archaeological investigations in different sites of Trentino, revealed some interesting aspects.
For example, the burnt remains of cereals and legumes, such as wheat, millet, and lentils, which were found in the Roman site at Navicello, in Rovereto, indicate the probable presence of a warehouse on the banks of the River Adige, with the function of food storage.
