Prehistoric statuary in Italy
After the autumn break, the MAG Alto Garda Museum is hosting a new temporary exhibition from 30 November to 6 January.
It is a travelling photographic exhibition, a project of ArcheoFoto Sardegna and the Menhir Museum in Laconi (Oristano) that has been shared and supported by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia through the Department of Cultural Heritage. In all, fifteen museums and local institutions are involved in the photo exhibition project, including the MAG Museo Alto Garda.
Through a careful selection of images, the exhibition invites the public to a direct confrontation with a corpus of menhir statues from different regions of Italy and Sardinia, highlighting stylistic and iconographic affinities that testify to the existence of a wide network of cultural exchanges.
