The Double by Fëdor Dostoevski

Meetings and conferences

Meeting entitled "The Double by Fëdor Dostoevskij" with Adalgisa Mingati, who teaches Russian Culture and Language at the University of Trento; readings by Emanuele Cerra.

In this novel, published in 1846, Fëdor Dostoevsky describes the progressive psychological degradation of the protagonist Jakov Goljadkin. The latter's double, "Goljadkin Jr.", will drive him crazy since he's his antagonist in everyday life, and could be quite simply the projection of his consciousness.
