The Nutcracker - Balletto del Sud 2023

Clara's dream, the battle of the mice, the fantastic journey, are narrated in Tchaikovsky's Christmas fairytale, based on Ernst Hoffman's tale "The Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King".

The performance by Fredy Franzutti, one of the most appreciated choreographers on the national scene, effectively combines the evidence of the original staging with a new dramaturgical structure inspired by the gothic world of director Tim Burton, reconstructed by sumptuous sets and spectacular costumes and updated, in each edition, with the characters from the latest film.

The beautiful musical themes, that come alive with the festive scenes under the Christmas tree, make the ballet a particularly popular title with audiences, even the very young, for its appeal to the warm family atmosphere of Christmas. This Nutcracker will be performed by the dancers of the Balletto del Sud, an international company that has been collecting great success on numerous Italian and European tours since 1995 (the year of its foundation).
