exhibition

From an idea by Vittorio Sgarbi, Lorenzo Zichichi.

Curated by Giordano Bruno Guerri, Denis Isaia

The exhibition brings together the work of two important contemporary Italian artists: Ettore de Conciliis and Umberto Mastroianni. The exhibition explores how landscape, form, movement and colour are represented in their work, highlighting the way the two artists interpret the world around them.

Ettore de Conciliis is known for his versatility in the use of various techniques, from oil painting to murals and land art. Often inspired by the natural landscapes of the Tiber Valley, his works testify to a profound connection with nature, inviting respect and protection of the environment.
In contrast, the sculptor Umberto Mastroianni developed a style ranging from the figurative to the abstract, adopting a dynamic and innovative approach. His works are characterised by the use of geometric shapes, intense colours and a strong sense of movement.
Acqua, luce, fuoco (Water, light, fire) presents several large canvases by de Conciliis dedicated to water and landscape in the spaces of Palazzo Libera in Villa Lagarina. The exhibition continues in the spaces of the nearby Guerrieri Gonzaga Park. In the ancient Sala delle Botti (Hall of Barrels) and in the park, there are large-scale reproductions of the Memoriale Portella della Ginestra, a Land Art project with which de Conciliis commemorated the massacre of the same name in 1980. On the same theme, the work meets a group of sculptures by Umberto Mastroianni, known for his large bronze works.
An exhibition by Il Cigno GG Edizioni Rome with Mart di Rovereto, Comune di Villa Lagarina and Parco Guerrieri Gonzaga.
