The secrets of the Perseids

Meetings and conferences
visione notturna del cielo [ Terrazza delle stelle - Viote del Monte Bondone]

Who has never entrusted one's wish to a bright trail glimpsed in the darkness of the nights of Saint Lawrence? The night of "shooting stars," traditionally set on 10 August, at The Stars Terrace, the MUSE observatory at Viote of Mount Bondone, is being held in three: on August 10, 11 and 12, 2023, the museum's experts will be on hand to describe the astronomical phenomenon and explain its peculiarities.

Shooting stars, music and gastronomy: at The Stars Terrace, which recently joined the UNESCO register of "sky-connected" sites, three evenings are scheduled to discover the secrets of the Perseids, the most famous and followed meteor shower.

On 10 August in particular, in addition to the astronomical observations, a "Picnic under the stars" organized by the local tourist office of Monte Bondone other events will also take place: in the meadows of the observatory, starting at 17.00, it will be possible to taste traditional local dishes and at 19:30 attend the concert of the "Giuseppe Verdi" opera choir of Bolzano, directed by Claudio Vadagnini.

For all three evenings, the MUSE Science museum will provide its powerful telescopes and astronomical expertise to decipher the summer sky. It is a journey among planets and constellations (starting at 21.00 and continuing until 23.00 and beyond) that attracts so many enthusiasts to the altitude every year.
