Before us is the moonscape of Montiferru, Sardinia, after a fire. Everything is black, nature appears compromised, the people we meet amidst the ancient olive groves, the burned forests, look like ghosts. Yet in the midst of this desolation the song of cicadas is heard unexpectedly. The film followed the fire seasons for a year, listened to the voices, heard the songs, witnessed, after the pain, the miracle of nature being reborn.
