The silence

A new dance creation set between nature and the artistic works of Arte Sella by the Spanish choreographer Iván Pérez and his company.

First established as artistic interpreter of the Netherlands Dance Theater, Pérez has signed creations for European, Asian and American companies; his next creation is scheduled for 2018 for the prestigious Opera Ballet in Paris.

Much acclaimed all over the world - in unique locations such as Sadler's Wells Theater in London and the Taipei National Theater - his creations were defined by critics: "powerful, intimate, visceral, intense and sensual." For ArteSella Iván Pérez presents a work on silence, in memory of the soldiers who fought during the First World War. In this way, choreography embraces the natural landscape of Arte Sella, as well as the historical happenings that took place in these places.

The performance draws inspiration from Michelangelo Pistoletto’s revolutionary work. In an intense physical tribute, the dancers create the sound and invite the audience to reflect on the deep meaning that is within every silence.
