Three mothers

Claudia and Maja are mother and daughter. Their relationship has always been difficult and quarrelsome. When Maja converts to Islam and has her first child, she needs to move in with her grandmother Anna, a strong Christian believer. As Claudia searches for herself after a difficult separation, Maja struggles for her mother and grandmother to understand and accept her new faith and her desire to move into a mother-child home so she can become more independent. The birth of Maja's daughter Djana seems to bring all three women and mothers together.
